School’s Back in Session …
… And parents at The Farms have a reason to cheer! According to North Carolina’s ABCs program, both Woodland Heights Elementary and Brawley Middle schools achieved “High Growth” for the 2007-08 school year. The ABCs program focuses on strong accountability, teaching the basics and maximum local control. In addition, both schools are Honor Schools of Excellence. The state’s highest school rating, an Honor School of Excellence made or exceeded testing goals and had at least 90 percent of their students at or above grade level. Lake Norman High School continues to excel as well, exceeding both district and state four-year graduation rate averages by more than 10 percentage points.
